Workshop Overview:

The acting workshop will involve interactive exercises to explore a physical, vocal, and emotional approach to three-dimensional acting. It will cover acting essentials, character development, and script analysis for subtext. The workshop will also challenge participants to go beyond their comfort zones and develop range, learning techniques such as movement and street/protest theater.  In cultivating a supportive community, emerging and established actors will guest facilitate, speaking on their experiences in the industry and leading enrichment exercises to engage and further develop participants' skill set.  In addition, we will go behind the scenes and attend a rehearsal for an upcoming production with the possibility of attending its performance. The workshop will culminate with auditions for Story High XIV. In preparation, the workshop will cover audition and cold reading techniques.
